A friend of mine (if I may say so, seeing that we have never actually met) provided a link for this a while ago in a comment to an older post. But since none of my 5 regular readers (“friends”) has any reason to go through the comments of old posts, I thought I’d post this here to give it the proper exposure that this record deserves. Thus, barely 2 months later I spring into action with cat-like reflexes to continue my quest to worship/post/rip-off the entire Workshed catalogue. I have no info about this band beyond what you can read on the sleeve. It’s a good record. It’s Workshed. What else do you need to know?
Here goes “the other” WSR #8 (and here the other, in case you missed it).

Mission Impossible

Still sounds great after all those years. Pass on a big thank you hug to your friend, he should be digging out more such gems from his mouldy basement hole, ha ha!
Yeah he should, shouldn't he!? Thanks again, man, I give you internet-hugs.
I was the guitarist for Mission Impossible. We were four guys from Orange County that were seniors in high scholl, except our singer Spencer who was going to school at Orange Coast College. We were lucky enough to catch Dan O Mahoney's ear and was able to be part of Workshed's roster of phenominal hardcore bands / releases. Growing upwith the guys in both Hard Stance and Headfirst it was basically like living the dream as we were at every one o. Those bands shows from the beginning not to mention No For An Answer's, so for us it was friggin incredible! Being a part of that scene / movement wi always be a huge part of my life and to this day love to listen to the bands and flip through the fanzines. I believe I / we can thank Drew Traulsen of ReIgnition fanzine and Zed Records for the initial introduction to Dan O, and will forever be greatful! On a side note John Scott - Headfirst frontman and myself started a band called Downer that put out an EP and full length on Ammunition Records as well as a full length in RoadRunner records. Thanks for interest!!!
@vikinghelmets: thanks a bunch for that comment! I really appreciate the background info. I'll definitely have to check out downer.
Spencer Impossible (Eakin) was the person responsible for getting me into vegetarianism in 1993. i never got to see MI but i remember playing guitar along to the 7" when i first learned how to play guitar at around age 16.
The 7" is still amazing, i rock it here and there. i found a 7" on purple vinyl a few weeks ago in the 99 cent bin of TKO Records in Huntington Beach, and it is a different purple color than the one i already had. even though to collector scum this might be worthless, it was a treasure to me.
it was cool to read on the DOUBLE CROSS blog that the 7" was the inspiration for the layout of the first Mouthpiece 7".
good post, thanks.
Sorry, I don't want to spam your blog, but I just wanted to make sure you read my comment on the post about Beyond - No Longer At Ease. I was hoping you had the lyrics! Let me know. Thanks! atrudelx@hotmail.com
